When you think about it, it's amazing that sites like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime enable you to watch TV on demand through an internet connection. Just ten years ago, this would have seemed like something out of science fiction. Unfamiliar with these services? Read on to learn about them:
Netflix.com has not only revitalized the DVD rental industry, but also the streaming video world. In addition to their movies by mail program, they have a gigantic selection of movies and TV shows to stream, all for one flat price every month.
Hulu is the industry leader for television programming, boasting shows from many different networks. In addition to the hottest prime-time dramas and comedies, the site also has a number of classics from the 60s, 70s and 80s to rediscover. The Hulu Plus service gives you access to full seasons for a monthly fee
Amazon recently entered the video streaming space, too. A membership to Amazon Prime gives members access to a relatively large library of movies and TV shows that can be streamed on demand to computers, video game consoles, and Amazon's Kindle Fire tablet.
